All WRCC programs follow the Canoe Kayak Canada Long Term Athlete Development Model. Adult recreational programming falls into the "Active for Life” designation of lifelong paddling. The goal is to keep paddlers involved in the sport for life. Some individuals enter this stage from the competitive scene, while others may never have been competitive paddlers and just enjoy the recreational and fitness aspects of the sport. Social interaction is a strong component of master’s paddling.
Adults wanting to learn to paddle have three options, mornings, afternoons and Saturdays. Each of these options has a number of sessions over the summer.
Dates and times of the training are outlined in the registration system.
