Paddle All is a program introduced by Canoe Kayak Canada (CKC) to promote paddling for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Recreational canoes and kayaks are used to introduce paddlers with intellectual and developmental disabilities to the sport of paddling. The program includes a safety orientation, technical instruction, and instruction by experienced coaches. Each paddler will have an experienced paddling partner for 1:1 support. Although all abilities are welcome, paddlers must be comfortable on the water.
Athletes (10-16 years) registered in this program meet twice a week. Every paddler, with their coach, chooses their own boat based on comfort level and the training is tailored to meet each paddler's needs. The focus is on fun and safety.
For introduction to the program there are two “Try it Out” days. Try-It-Out days are June 14th and June 21st. Each day will have two, one hour groups.
